I got pretty lucky with this gig! Megan Rei, a phenomenal photographer in Virginia (seriously go check out her work!) asked me along with her to help her shoot this wedding at the Stanley Hangar in Aurora Colorado. The Stanley Hangar was an awesome, unique, and rad place to have a wedding. It was my first visit to the Stanley Hangar after our move to Colorado and I loved it! The little tiny shops inside, the hanging bulb lights, the giant red doors… all of it was just so so much fun! Which made for a really perfect venue for this couple. Kyle and Lindsay were laid back, happy, and overall an extremely kind and fun couple to work with.
We started off with the first look at the Lookout Mountain Park in Golden Colorado. Within minutes of arriving you can see why this incredible place is aptly named Lookout Mountain Park. The views are stunning, and made for one of the best first looks scenes I have seen and been able to photograph! One of the reasons I love wedding photography so much is because of the uniqueness and variety that every single wedding offers!
With that said I would absolutely NOT turn down another opportunity to photograph a first look, or engagement session or a wedding at Lookout Mountain again!
Oh my gosh y’all, her dress was made out of her mom’s dress!! How incredible is that?! They made minor changes and alterations, however the vast majority of the dress is the original dress her mother wore!!! I was in awe!
Thanks again to Megan Rei Photography for having me! It was an amazing day!
