So, you want to get married in Colorado, right? You want those INCREDIBLE mountain views blessing your marriage, right? You love that Colorado offers all four seasons and you can enjoy those views anytime of year, right?
BUT- where in the world do you start?! The Rocky Mountains are so big and so amazing! And there are hundreds of amazing views! But which ones are accessible for guests? Which ones do I need a permit for? How far out do I have to reserve it?
I can’t tell you how many of these questions come up! So many people think just like you probably did- that going to the mountain is so much simpler, just walk up and get married? Well unfortunately- it’s not that simple. BUT with a little help from your vendors, and this blog you should be a few steps closer to your beautiful Colorado wedding!
So let’s start,
First up is a dear favorite of mine! The Lodge at Sunspot in Winter Park. The Lodge is also listed in 303 Magazine as a top restaurant with the best views. My first time visiting this spot, I was in complete and utter awe of the views, weather, and sheer magnitude you experience here. It is absolutely breathtaking and must be experienced in person!
To book this for your wedding you will need to go through Winter Park Resort and reserve it through them. This will also allow you to have the latest updates on the current construction right now.
Next up is another personal favorite!
The mountaintop lodge is just like the perfect ski resorts you see in the movies! I mean, it is just the perfect mix of cabin and classy. The ceremony is held on the “lawn” and is faced perfectly towards surrounding summits and the sunsets are to die for! To book this location you should contact the Breckenridge Ski Resort about availability and prices. They will discuss the shuttle and accessibility options for guests with you too!
If you are looking for something that has a little more indoor wedding space and would appreciate magnificent architecture within the Rockies- then this next one is for you!
Vail Village – This place is absolutely magical! It is like Elsa and Anna transported Arendale and plopped it smack down in the middle of the Rocky Mountains! The architecture and town center is absolutely exquisite! The Betty Ford Gardens are a gorgeous location for a summer wedding and the Donovan Pavilion is excellent for winter or bad weather concerns! To book a wedding at the Betty Ford Gardens, simply follow the link above and click contact us to request reservations! The Donovan Pavilion can be reserved through their website as well.
