Have you ever moved somewhere, not known a single person, moved your business and had to start over? No would be the most common and expected answer- but for me- it’s yes.
And oh my gosh was it one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. But you know what else- it was the best thing I have ever done as far as “adulting”. For a lot of reasons but the one I’m discussing today is how some really wonderful people in the local photography community accepted me in and supported me from the start! I met some really wonderful people who hired me to work with them second shooting weddings until my network and referral base built up. Caroline Colvin is a wonderful lady and I am so thankful for her bringing me along to this absolutely amazing, beautiful, and fun British – American Wedding in Vail.
This wedding was such a breath of fresh air- literally and metaphorically. Their getting ready was in an unbelievably gorgeous hotel in Vail with incredible mountain views as well as downtown Vail views. If you have never been to Vail you must must must visit! It is a place like none other.
Their ceremony and reception were outdoors at the Donovan Pavilion in Vail. Aside from one short shower- the weather was absolutely gorgeous. Hearing British accents while photographing beautiful people in a beautiful place was seriously not half bad 😉
This group of people were some of the most fun, laid back, yet classy people I have ever met!
Seriously guys, how lucky am I to get to do this for a living?! I get to meet some of the best most wonderful people and photograph the most beautiful wonderful days of their lives!
